The active ingredients in KIN Whitening toothpaste are micro-fine sodium bicarbonate particles that whiten tooth enamel without damaging it, sodium pyrophosphate that prevents plaque and tartar formation, and sodium fluoride that protects against caries. The formula contains crystalline sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) micropowder, which is softer than enamel and dentin, allowing it to effectively remove stains and accumulated plaque from the enamel. Teeth become brighter, the natural shade is restored, and further discoloration from food, drinks, or tobacco is prevented. The toothpaste has a low abrasivity level (RDA 87). With a sodium bicarbonate concentration of 15%, it is also suitable for maintaining brightness after whitening treatments. Sodium bicarbonate effectively neutralizes acids produced by plaque bacteria and reduces bad breath. Crystalline sodium pyrophosphate prevents plaque and tartar formation by reacting with calcium phosphate present in the oral cavity before it deposits on teeth. The resulting compound is water-soluble and is removed by rinsing. The toothpaste contains 3.3% sodium pyrophosphate. Sodium fluoride remineralises teeth, helps restore enamel, and slows the conversion of sugars into enamel-damaging acids.
